The Novosibirsk Region is the largest transport hub in Eastern Russia. Major rail, road, air, and river routes cross it.  Novosibirsk connects Siberia, the Far East, and Central Asia with the European regions of Russia. Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air transit hub east of the Urals, located on the most important routes between Europe and Asia.

The transport complex is one of the branches that the region’s economy specialises in: its share in GRP is 17.2%, above-average for both Russia and the Siberian Federal District.

Today the area of existing warehouse real estate in Novosibirsk and the adjacent territory is 5.69 million sq.m, of which 0.98 million sq.m. is Class A and 0.56 million sq.m. is Class B. The total area of old housing is 4.15 million sq.m.
